In Japanese, Reiki can be broken down into two parts: rei (spiritual) and ki (energy). Together, it translates into “universal life energy” or “spiritual energy.” Everything has energy - our bodies, animals, plants, buildings, even the furniture and electronics in our homes – and energy is infinite. When we experience trauma, painful events, or any other type of emotional hardship, we store the associated emotions in our bodies. Without energy work, our energetic bodies become dis-eased. As your Reiki practitioner, I act as a channel using gentle hand movements to guide “stuck” or “stagnant” energy the client’s body thus promoting your body’s own self-healing abilities.
